Pretty Lady by the Sea

I recently started a series featuring sophisticated ladies in various settings.

It was time to take a break from the robots and cats for a little bit, and focus on the simple observations of life. Plus, Tadahiro Uesugi is a big inspiration of mine, and I'd be lying if I didn't acknowledge his influence here..

The girl's outfit was inspired by my wife's clothes and the sea is around me everyday, so I guess this is art imitating life a little.

Girl on a Rhino- may not be safe for work

Lately I've been drawing again, and because I haven't drawn consistently for such a long while, I'm a little rusty. So, I've been trying to cut myself some slack from a technical standpoint and just draw for the pure enjoyment. Today's post reflects just that. The anatomy isn't perfect, nor the scale or rendering, but it was fun to do.
It's nice to start cutting loose again. When I was younger I drew a lot of Tolkien-esque fantasy art. There were lots of dragons, elves, and warriors. This is a bit of a nod to that.
